I started with 15 of my daughter's favorite tee shirts and finished with an oversized quilt that is making its way to the University of Michigan to decorate her room. This book was invaluable and got me through the process from start to finish. I learned some cool blocks and new techniques. The instructions are clear and easy to follow with detailed pictures. Great tips, great new ideas! My family is amazed and all of my kid's friends are putting their orders in! I am ready to start on my next project. I no longer have a box filled with my dad's old ties. My mom and I made pillows out of my dad's ties and tuxedo shirts. What a wonderful way to have a memory of my dad with me all the time. My next project...doing something with all those t-shirts my daughter just can't part with. They will look much nicer as a quilt than as a pile of laundry on the floor. If my kids aren't careful, I will be sewing all their clothes into quilts.
